I hope in future we do more to help vets with these problems. They certainly deserve better than they get right now.

I agree. But you won't hear any of our local conservatives complain about it. That would be "un-American".

Did you see any of our conservatives complain about building 18 at Walter Reed? No. Did any of our conservatives complain about the homeless Veterans of Iraq/Afghanistan? No. Did they complain about sending GIs back into the field on psychotropic medications? No. Did they complain about the lack of body armor or hummer armor? No.

All the conservatives care about is sending GIs into Iraq to run the gauntlet every day. They toss out the cliches of "Support the Troops" and "Our best and brightest." But they don't really give a sh!t what happens to them.

Though they did have a hissy fit over Code Pink wanting to get the troops home and provide them the health benefits they deserved. That was intolerable.
