I wasn't making a blanket statement, or mass generalization as I usually call it. But people do all the time. I found it odd to hear you say I couldn't when it's extremely common.

Your statement "You can't make blanket statements" is itself a mass generalization to me, which I note you can say, and you did.

Here's one that I hear frequently from Heinz, and note that I can say it, same as he does: "All fiat currencies go to zero."
