Living my life as if Shiva the Destroyer exists seems like a high price to pay given the slight chance that Shiva does in fact exist.

Btw, if creationism were true, that wouldn't prove God exists.

If creationism were true, fundamentalist Christians automatically assume that proves that Jehovah did everything. But that isn't the case. Once you remove evolution, then *any* magical answer is as good as another. Allah could have created all life. Or Shiva. Or one of those Mayan gods. Or Apollo and Athena. Or some pagan gods.

For that matter, space aliens might be responsible. Or a magical donut orbiting Saturn.

In short, Jehovah aint the only magical entity around. It shows a lot about rightwing fundie's world view that they *automatically* assume that the only alternative to evolution is their particular god. They forget that there are a lot of other beliefs and alternatives out there.

Always amuses me, this logical hole.

All BELIEF is a product of MIND, subject to the gross distortions of Egoity (aka the Self-Contraction), and therefore the limitations of POINT OF VIEW.

To pretend that ANY belief actually explains anything significant or represents REALITY-ITSELF is tantamount to taking a single photograph and suggesting that it represents existence, or the world, or the Cosmos, or All and Everything,
when, in fact, it represents a single snapshot, taken from a particular point of view, as against all possible snapshots taken from every possible point of view.

Creationism or evolution, or any other proposal are just that; PROPOSALS, similar to a proposal like: "The Cleveland Cavaliers have come from nowhere to become the greatest basketball team ever and will win the NBA Championships in 2007"
You can either buy in or buy out of that proposal.

One can look at things this way:
REAL-GOD = Reality = Truth = That which is always already the case

Conditional manifested existence (subject to the cycle of
creation/preservation/destruction) is the world of forms,
always changing but arising IN and OF Real-God, but in a stepped-down form (subject to the limitations of the ego or self contraction and POINT OF VIEW implicit in existing in bodily form and being identified with bodily form).

Like the PROPOSALS referred to above, this too is a PROPOSAL, subject to limitations of point of view etc (mine). It is
however, based on the Teaching of a Being who has transcended egoity and is therefore NO LONGER SUBJECT to the limitations of POINT OF VIEW, my Guru, Adi Da Samraj.
