Landmark Acquires New Brunswick Uranium Property
Tuesday June 12, 11:16 am ET

biz.yahoo.com

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - June 12, 2007) - Landmark Minerals (TSX VENTURE:LML - News) has acquired, by staking, a 100% interest in 280 contiguous mineral claims covering 4450 hectares in southern New Brunswick.

The property covers oil-bearing Albert Formation shales, which Landmark considers highly permissive for the development of sedimentary-hosted uranium deposits. Permeable zones of fining upward fluvial cycles, along with fault and fracture zones, permit groundwater transport of metals through oxidized beds. Uranium occurrences in the basin are typically associated with reducing agents such as plant material and hydrocarbons.

"We are pleased to acquire this early stage uranium property in New Brunswick, where we have secure mineral title and financial exploration incentives," said Harmen Keyser, President of Landmark. "This property was selected because of the favorable geology and anomalous uranium concentrations reported in stream sediments. Compilation of an extensive database and ground follow-up are underway."

Landmark Minerals is a junior exploration company based in Vancouver, Canada with uranium properties in Quebec, Newfoundland, Northwest Territories, Yukon, New Brunswick, and Alaska. Exploration on two of Landmark's Newfoundland properties as well as at Bokan Mountain, Alaska is being funded by Ucore Uranium, and its NWT properties are being explored by Galore Resources.
