Is ad-hominem, and this irrelevant. It isn't true, but even if it was it doesn't support your point. Its about me not about the issue.

Massive is a strawman in comparison with our current subsidies in various sectors.


No it isn't. Multi thousand dollar subsidies or penalties for the majority of car purchases in the US, would be larger then the total gross subsidies the oil industry receives (much larger then the net), and also much larger then the subsidies received by other industries.

In any case even if the current subsidies, where as large as what you propose, that still would not make the new subsidies anything other than massive. It would be a very large dramatic new intervention, its not a small change at the margin.
