We might have increased the current risk, of a small to moderate disruption. Long term its more complex. If our mission is successful, it will probably reduce the risk. But then I know you assume that we are destined to failure. If I shared that opinion, I would also share your opinion that we should find as good of exit as we can as soon as we can.

What whiney BS. There are some countries in the ME where there is/was a LOT of terrorist operations... NOT Iraq, and you know it.

The issue wasn't where the operations happened, but where support came from. Also the issue was more about future risks than ones that where directly and immediately present at the time of the invasion.

re: The concern here was not about imminent threats but possible future threats.

They are not my heroes, and yes it was about future threats in most of their statements, at least in most of Bush's.
