Ted, the vast majority of Asian-Americans right now are either 1st or 2nd generation.

If you want to compare old money white people with new money Asians, you're always going to show a monetary advantage for the "incumbents."

Better education just means a much better chance at climbing the ladder. It doesn't guarantee nor does it entitle success. Take it from me, an Ivy League grad who works side-by-side with those who often came from California state schools.


The studies I have seen consistently show Asians making less money when all other things are equal. In fact, in most states, Asians are better educated than whites. Now you can color this anyway you want but to me, as a white boy, it looks like Asians are getting screwed. But then, that's me.

Asians should make less money. There are more of them on the planet, so they are worth proportionately less..<g>
