Maybe I'll time our cross country camping trip around harvest time. Early Sept?

We always go out of our way to buy corn from a road side farmer in Startup every summer. I bet it is as close to mid-west corn as can be. It is famous in these here parts, and really, really deliciously sweet and tender.

Next time I see him, I'll ask him where he's from.

Funny too.... He charges $1.00 for 6 ears and his wife charges $1.00 for 5. Same darned corn..
