What has that got to do with the equivalencies of D.Duke and Moore/Odonald? Or are you just using the standard liberal play book? You know, if your argument has lost its legs, just distract the opponent with some other annoyance......

Lincoln waged an unpopular war to preserve the union by force, suspended habeas corpus, closed antiwar newspapers, etc. Justified it all by appeals to God. Told his Cabinet he would sign the emancipation resolution because God favored it.

What do you see there to compare to today's Democratic party?

Lincoln arrested the mayor of Baltimore and a third of the state house and Senate. then order new elections. MD was swarmed with soldiers from New York and Mass. Lincoln gave them the right to vote in that MD election. He lined the polling places with those soldiers and gave the order to arrest ANYONE who was considered having confererated leanings that showed up at those polls. Union thugs were at every poll pointing out anyone they hated.

Yes just like the dems would do if they had total power.

No wonder you assholes are against the 2nd amendment

"The policies of Lincoln were much more in tune with" ... Rosie O'Donnel and Michael Moore?

I humbly disagree with you vehemently.
