When ICE raided meat packing plants in the midwest and deported a significant portion of the workforce who was in the lines for the jobs? On the part of the press that is not insanely liberally biased there was coverage of the citizens standing in line for those jobs. Illegal immigrants are taking jobs Americans want. Our economy would suffer if we did not have willing labor participants from other countries. The limits on H-1B visas are ridiculously low and the entire H-2B visa program that the bracadero program became was cancelled. Lets start with unlimited work visas for a year or two and find out how many foreigners want to work here. Then we can have an informed decision. IMHO, the entire debate is about which party gets credit in the minds of the illegals so they will vote for that party.
