Dumb!

absolutely

when we put my deceased FIL's home on the market several years ago, our buyer wanted a price concession because it had vinyl in the kitchen and baths...perfectly good vinyl, in perfect condition, neutral color, but it was *vinyl*....it was a great well maintained home in an excellent neighborhood, yet we gave a concession on price

why?

because we wanted to move the property quickly and despite the concession we still were within the comp price for the neighborhood

it's crazy to haggle over $5k

but sellers in the bubble zones are in a tough situation, many of whom are upside down on their loans....guess they don't have the luxury of the price concession<ng>
