I believe everyone that wants to work can get a job if they really really try.

My kid, now 19, has been working since she was 15.

Started out at the local Burger joint, and is now waiting tables at Applebees for the summer and the head lifeguard at the Country Club.

She's never had trouble getting a job.

I have to disagree with this. I never thought I would see the day that a strapping young man, willing and eager to work, couldn't get a job within a 25 mile area of home. He's gone to three towns and Houston. He still can't get a job.
