Did you not say that your son can get a job at one of the local burger joints?

For many kids, that is the entree into the job market. That's what my daughter did for her first non-babysitting type job.

Once a kid has some hours under the belt, it becomes easier to move into other work areas.

Alan Smithee has it right. Your son is going to have to work hours he does not like at a job he does not want until his work record has some ink on it. Someone will hire your son.
