Look at the way expectant mothers refer to their "fetuses."

Look at the way they prepare the baby's room. Have a baby shower. When the "fetus" kicks, they refer to the "fetus" as if it already has a personality.

A mere "mass of tissue" does not bring out motherly instincts like that.

But you are right in saying that the condition hasn't changed depending on what the mother decides. It's a life no matter what. It may be her legal decision to kill the unborn child, but let's not fool ourselves into thinking the procedure is no worse than the removal of a tumor.
