I think the important takeaway from Tim's reaction to the photo of the fetus is to realize that facts, physical evidence etc have little to do with the their truths.

Your the one who's ignoring the facts and physical evidence. The fact that the fetus is a human being, and the physical evidence supporting that claim of fact.

But really to be fair to you, its not as much that your ignoring facts, its that an issue like this isn't simply decided by facts. I think we would agree on most of the facts, particularly the ones that are just details. Where we disagree is about what facts are important. We disagree about the moral and philosophical backdrop that we plug the same facts in to.

To you being a member of a human species isn't important, so it doesn't really matter how much facts the facts and evidence support the claim that it is. You might argue that it isn't (although that would be going against the facts and evidence), but if you do trying to argue you out of the case wouldn't really matter. Even if the attempt succeeds, it doesn't impact what's important to you in this issue.
