Oh, I think your background has allowed you to be sufficiently insightful to infer the shenanigans that can and often do take place. In terms of all three: dealing with disgruntled employees; mindless sabotage; and the outright theft of information for financial gain.

We're all familiar with how this works. As when one knows someone "on the force" if they want the details behind a license tag, or if someone happens to have a friend or relative working for the "phone company" if they're looking for unlisted number, or a printout of someone else's (or their own) calling history. And the stakes get higher when espionage, also sometimes euphemistically referred to as business intelligence (they've even given it a acro-name: BI), is involved, although proponents of BI will fight you on this, insisting that the connotation does not fit their milieu.

Disgruntled Employee Repellent, however, is getting more sophisticated all the time, with access priviliges and transaction auditing capabilities getting tighter and more detailed, respectively. Still, your point is well taken, and anyone who blindly places their faith in the trustworthiness of service providers is a fool, which was my main point earlier on, in connection with the Remember the Milk Web-based application. Thanks.
