Thus they developed the Tundra, which is bigger and gets worse mileage than either of its competitors.

And they're having a tough time moving them. Incentives such as big rebates and zero percent financing are now being offered by Toyota on the Tundra. High fuel prices do actually influence peoples decisions in purchasing a vehicle. Strangely enough, the market works (a concept that many politicians can't seem to grasp)..

“Building Priuses does not give Toyota license to mass-produce the Tundra,” said Sarah Connolly, the co-director of the Freedom from Oil campaign for Rainforest Action Network.

And just who appointed that broad to the post of Economic Dictator? That "Freedom from Oil" crowd should all up and move into their Rainforest, since they obviously detest the amenities of modern civilization that depend upon oil in order to function..

why did they argue with the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers in the Supreme Court that CO2 is not a pollutant

For the simple reason that indeed it's not. Freedom from Oil must not be aware that their precious Rainforest would be as dead as a doornail without CO2 "pollution" to nourish it..
