My impression is that he tends not to give it much weight - that his views are close to those of Edwards - but he is smart enough not to say this openly - for political reasons.

If Paul was to act overseas, he would do what you or I would do. Only with the clear goal of "hit and leave." I don't find Libertarians to be wimpy.

I imagine that he does. There's a difference between his position and that of Edwards. LB articulated the differentiation. While you may not agree with the approach of either, conflating the two is not helpful. One can understand the nature of the threat yet not advocate armed intervention.
