OTOH I just watched Canada's soccer team dismantle Guatemala 3-0 at the Gold Cup to move on to the semis. I've been watching the Canadian national team for more than 30 years and they have never had a team like this one, confident on the ball and willing to charge forward with brio, and always looking to score. Even when they make the World Cup 20 years ago, you never felt they could score, just defend. Of course, if they played one of the big boys, it would still be like playing rugby with the All Blacks, but at least they would acquit themselves with vigour. LC
