I know from 30 years ago. They used to send AFL-CIO and the Europeans used to prop the unions in Brazil. They were afraid of our competition.

The stupid Brazilians fell for it. The Chinese didn't and are exporting their way out of poverty.

With the raise of Wal-Mart and Tesco there's no alternative. and with food and gas gig up sharply, there is only one place that is competitive :-)
