They are raised loose in the fields. They are counted by flying over with helicopters. In Europe, cattle is confined. A few cows are raised 1Km away from the house of the owner. Some owned by a dentist to help with the taxes and get some subsisides... All in the family kind of business. In Brazil the owner lives in S. Paulo. 2.500 Km away from where his farm is and he lives off raising cattle. We are trying to compare two different industries. It is the same of comparing the cottage industry that produices the cars for CART races in the US with Toyota with an outfit that makes millions of cars. One makes tens of car that costs a couple of million dollars, the other makes millions of mass produced cars. Now they want everyone to drive the same car and abide for the same rules for those guys who race Indy-500... Ridiculous... Tell you what: in Europe, after the harvest the fields were used for the US and NATO army to move the tanks around in maneuvers. If the tanks invaded a unharvested field, an officer would make the asessment and would compensate the farmer for the unharvested damages. Now you are thinking poor farmer! nAll that effort to be destoryend by the tanks!! No it was not like that Mr. eplay. The US guy would be drinking some beer, and the farmer would tell him where his unharveted field was, and the Us officer would -very unfortunately- damage his crop. Assessor goes there netx week, pay him the money and everybody was happy... Next week, the officer, would ask the farmer, could you intriduced that blonde seating over there? The farmer say: let me made a small beer function I will invite her and we will introdeuce her to you...
