Steve, > About 40 years in Arkansas.

I think it's 25 years in the Pacific Northwest.

Weyerhaeuser has a system of tree farms on a 25-year cycle. They own seven million acres of forest land in America and have a Canadian license to 4.6 million acres in British Columbia:

About 40 years in Arkansas.

GP has a heck of an operation in south Arkansas. They even put in their own natural gas wells in northern Louisiana with a pipeline back to the plants in south Arkansas.

You boys save your trees; we'll sell you all you need if you'll block the cheap imports from Canada.

Your trees are in tree farms. It takes them 20 years or less to reach maturity.......mostly soft woods. They can clearcut tree farms all day long 'til the cows come home.......little do I care about them.

In the PNW, we are not talking tree farms but forests......real, live forests. It took nature over a hundred years or more to grow......hardwoods......valuable, incredible, beautiful hardwoods. There is a whole ecology of animals and plants that exists under their canopy; dependent on the trees for their existence. You don't clearcut these forests.

I wouldn't agree with that idea.
