Christin Amanpour at CNN said that this is "a direct affirmation of failed U.S. Palestinian policy" yesterday morning. That's quite true, if you just agree to forget that this was the part of the US Palesitnian policy that CNN supported, and vilified its Likudnik opponents. On a more positive note, I saw Christine Amanpour on CNN yesterday in some special that treated the question of the radicalization of British Muslim youth quite seriously, as a serious danger, and wasn't buying any of the Islamophobia-its-our-own-fault bs that the apologists were peddling. So some awareness of reality may be seeping into the CNN news framework. It's a slow process.
