polarization of Americans - almost a hate developing towards fellow Americans We should fight this impulse by all means possible. It is dangerous. Not sure if this is a good analogy, but if a person is blind, you don't kick him - you help him. And it needs be done in a polite and friendly manner. And remember that if they decline your offer, you must respect their right to do so.

Nobody in America thinks America is the source of all evil. Certainly not the left. You are underestimating the pernicious influence of people like Noam Chomsky. His kind of thinking controls the Left. They know better than to come right out and say, "I hate America." Instead, they attack what we do and blame the things that go wrong on us. Their ACTIONS show their hatred of what we do. When Chomsky says stuff like: The professor said that "if the U.S. was to stick to the clear and precise definition of terrorism in its code of laws, it would be the leading terrorist state." wnd.com The left reads it and nods their heads knowingly.
