I also gave it a try; what Marcellus had in his mind.

How about:

-the nifty fifty, or some leading companies having a persistent high valuation

-treasuries just starting a prolonged selloff on rising inflation

-floatation and subsequent devaluation of the dollar after bretton woods

-raw materials in high demand; crude oil inflation and subsequently increased speculation in gold

-a prolonged and unsuccessful intervention (Vietnam) at high financial and human costs
