I have no idea what the motivation was and neither do you. Oh for God's sake. Its Z Magazine. Everyone with a brain knows where they're coming from. This is the far leftwing. Z magazine exists to provide a forum for Chomsky, Howard Zinn, Robert Fisk, etc. People who are always against America and btw have always been against America long before W became Prez. In light of Lebanon's history, that s/b considered a positive, not a negative. You have proved my point. The items on the list were not all negatives, certainly not from your perspective or mine. But that wasn't the point of the list. If you think that and everything else on the list wasn't put there as a negative, you're the only one who thinks so. I can guarantee they intended it as negative. It's a list of grievances, which means it is framed from the perspective of how they were viewed by "their" perspective. "Why do they hate us" is the title of the piece. From "their" perspective, the items on the list are all negative. Its perspective is "they" have good cause to hate us and attack us because America has been doing horrible criminal things to "them" for decades. And that is wrong. Why you are trying to depict Z magazine as something it isn't - namely as an objective and not hostile to America forum for ideas is beyond me.
