Lane3

In reference to your statement----

"Did you just say that you are at a loss to see how thinking that agents of the American government deliberately killed 3000 American citizens on 9/11 could rationally be called an "anti-American" viewpoint?"

Comment: mj

To have a thought, any thought, is not in itself anti-the subject about which you are thinking.

When it becomes "anti" is when it becomes promulgated verbally or in writing as the truth.

This is when it becomes propaganda and urban legend. It serves to undermine this democracy----- that is anti-American.

It is propaganda that tears down the trust and faith that Americans place in their country and that other nations place in America.

These actions are simply anti-America.

That's like accusing the police force and mayor of my town of deliberately shooting innocent people, then claiming you're not "against" them because it's nuts. It doesn't matter if it's nuts or not. If you repeat it over and over, and get people to believe it, you are absolutely "against" the people you are calling wilful murderers, and everybody who supports them and voted them into office more than once.

Sure it's nuts. But you can find it repeated over and over in Daily Kos and Z magazine and wherever the leftwing "netroots" crowd hangs out. These people believe it because they have been trained to hate America since well before Bush took office.

Stop playing this ridiculous game.

Is “America has been killing people on this continent since it was started. This country is not worth dying for.” an anti-American statement?
