What happened is that the polls told them Americans wanted the US out of Iraq but not at the expense of funding the troops. So when Bush played chicken with them over this issue they blinked. Very stupid. They are so afraid of being called anti troop and anti security, they gave into the incompetent.

If they do this again after september, they lost my vote.

They will lose a lot of people's votes.
