This is one regional struggle that should be left to the region to settle. If Palestinians want to attack each other, let them fight it out. If an Arab country like Egypt or Jordan wants to referee, let them. If Palestinians want to attack Israel, let them fight it out. We have stuck our nose way too far into this problem for way too long. All we offer, all we have ever offered is cash. That same cash has helped fuel the corruption and extremism.

Nobody will let this alone, uw. The Palestinians didn't even exist before the other Arabs stuck all the refugees in permanent camps and got the UN to feed them forever. The Arab refugees of Palestine had no idea of being a separate country. Then the Arab League stuck them with the PLO as their "only legitimate representative". The PLO followed the Mufti's tradition of making sure it was their only representative by declaring any other leaders to be collaborators and shooting them. Now only the most violent and terrorist are at the top, everyone else keeps their head down. Nor can the system even fail, because the Palestinians are the world's highest per-capita recipients of foreign aid. The Arab world just looooves the Palestinian cause, it's been supremely useful to them.
