Pavarotti is undoubtedly the 800 lb gorilla of tenors in professional opera; and for good reason. Paul is a rookie now. IMO, he has the talent to rise to Pavarotti's stature someday, if he continues training and singing. We'll see. Yet, even now at this amateur stage, there is a quality in Paul's voice that comes through. I wish I could tell you what that is. Maybe it is the product of his personal pain, I don't know.

You can't compare the two. Pavarotti has many years of experience, Paul has only been getting his feet wet these past years, now he is into his professional journey and he will grow. He will never be Pavarotti, he will always be Paul Potts.
