That is typical behaviour of passengers. You're right, the crew aren't on a suicide mission. They want that flight to get from point A to point B on time and with no incidents. They aren't going to a particular town to party, attend a wedding, convention, etc. They're going because it's their job.

You are the type of passenger that all flight crews love to have on board.

Sorry to hear you flew instead of taking the RV. A little practice driving the RV and you could be a school bus driver in your golden years.
