Agreed. And that mindset exists. Everything in the world is traced back to some sin America committed. From supporting the creation of Israel to waging the cold war. Hell, if there wasn't an Israel or a Mossadegh or something like that, you could blame every problem in the ME on America for America participating in WWI, because after that war the Turkish empire was cut up by the winners of WWI. Not to mention that naked aggression against Tripoli back during the Barbary wars - no wonder Gaddafi was our enemy.
