No argument from here that there is a lot of ugly stuff going on in both parties, with increasing suspicion on the part of Americans that there aren't many good guys in DC. I believe that is why we are seeing interest in Ron Paul, Obama, Fred Thompson, who are not as known, and thus can represent something new.
Hopefully, people will do as you recommend, and not jump on bandwagons without research and thought. It's very easy to take a soundbite, a handsome face, a soothing SOuthern voice, an agreement with one issue that is important to you, and build a fantasy candidate around your need.

Did you see that British 'man on the street' interview with Americans on their knowledge of the world that's on YouTube? My expectations may be unrealistic about research. Maybe we should just hope they are aware we have a president and that Korea is not located in Australia.
