Actually, it happens every credit cycle. It's the rush to make as much hay as they can while the sun shines. They know winter is coming all too soon. Despite claims to the contrary, this cycle will suffer the same fate as all that came before it, and they know that.

Can we have hyperinflation with real estate already crashing to the extent it has been in parts of this country? I mean home prices in parts of Sacramento and SW Florida are down over 40%. Land prices in parts of Florida down 75%. Something rarely if ever seen since the great depression with only the oil patch RE crash in the late 80's and commercial RE plunge in the early 90's even comparable..
