Communism seemed on the march everywhere in the world - Africa, Asia, Latin America. Communist parties were powerful in western Europe.

So what has changed, we still have communism in the same places with the exception of the Soviet Union which fell under the weight of its own economic policies and Putin is reviving it.

China the largest communist nation is still in existence and we haven't gone to war with them as they expand capitalism in their own country.

The dead and wounded from our excursions into other countries would certainly look at it in a different light.

In case you don't know, Ron Paul feels we are weak on defense.
