I think we should just get the hell out of the shithole ME and buy our oil on the open market like the rest of the world. Supporting Israel or the Pals has been a long-term losing proposition for the US, over many administrations. The closest we EVER got to peace, a right-wing Israeli nutcase assassinated the Israeli peacemaker. The only thing we've NEVER tried is really getting tough with Israel, making them get within the Green Line and living with it. We've never supported the Pal's soverignity against Israeli checkpoint and settlement thugishness and incursions, and until that is done, they'll NEVER become a country. Our domestic dual-loyalty Zionists will never allow this to happen.. Screw 'em.
