The garlic in my upscale natural foods store turned out to be from Oregon and Mexico. The elephant garlic was labeled, but I had to ask someone to check the source for the organic purple garlic.

Re: Gilroy and garlic. It's weird the way so many specialties are concentrated in specific locations. Large percentages of some products come from certain towns in China...
