Underwater? Allow me to undress here, sir.
My underwater positions -- Disclaimer to self: my PF remains up for the month and the year -- can be divided in 3 levels:
Top level: "Good stuff; keep it". I may be underwater yet confident enough to keep these stocks in the cellar (where RMK.V, SCM.V, TK.V, UNO.V are safely ensconced). They may still taste closed and brutally tannic but their potential is obvious (to borrow some wine words).
Middle level: "what to do, what to do..." Good stuff, I'd thought, but... What do I not know here? Shilly-shallying over: EFR.TO, EXM.V, GPXM.OB, SNN.TO...
Lowest level: "Why the hell did I buy this? And is it too late to sell?" -- Positions which I let slide, out of stupidity/greed/being busy elsewhere etc., and of which I am not confident, such as CBP.V, BTT.V, SNN.TO (though ZooYork swears by it), VIT.V...
Yet I manage to do alright elsewhere, thanks to many good people here on SI and, let me say it out loud, thanks to Claude Cormier who, with his Ormetal newsletter, manages to be both cautious and adventurous, causing my amblings to turn quite profitable.
