Brussels intra muros, that is, restricted to its 19 boroughs, has a population of approx. 1,025,000 (as of January 2006) The map below shows the percentage of Francophone inhabitants in each of the Flemish suburbs surrounding Brussels So then the French are concentrated in Brussels, Wemmel, Wezembeek, Crainhem, Drogenbos, Linkebeek, and Rhode St. Genesee. Its strange how disbursed the 6 francophone suburbs are. You would think they would all be within close proximity to each other as well as close to Wallonia. Thanks for the info. In truth, isn't this Flemish high handedness payback time for the way the French treated the Flemish prior to WW II?
