My recollection was that there were a few voices questioning Afghanistan but they found no purchase and disappeared almost immediately.

Of course a big reason they disappeared so quickly was because the Taliban fell so quickly, but your right that even before that there was no broad based anti war in Afghanistan movement. The voices against the campaign where fairly isolated.
