In my view, if Bloomberg runs seriously, either Hillary or Obama will end up in the White House.

The democratic base may flirt with Bloomberg, but they will return to the nominee in the end. Some traditional eastern repulicans (fiscal restraint, business oriented, moderate on social issues) could vote for Bloomberg...and hurt the republican nominee who might otherwise get their vote.

We'll see.

No matter what, Bloomberg involved is bad for Rudy.

In a three-way race, ALL the legs on the stool matter.

(So, I don't know how to predict the impact of a Bloomie run, without *first* positing who are the respective nominees for GOP and Dem parties....)

PS --- just to give the GOP a little something to cheer about this month... it looks like Nader will be running again... so maybe make that a 'four way' race. And, a determined Libertarian effort might make five. :-)
