Why do I always have the same type of questions about articles you post?

"...exploit a secret military program to develop brutal interrogation tactics -- likely with the approval of the Bush White House."

Were they exploited as you insinuate or was it simply an educational program?

What was approved by Bush and why is it likely?

"-- until now has remained largely unknown.

What has remained unknown? The training curriculum, actions approved by the military, military actions, CIA policy, Bush's involvement? It appears you are talking about the unknown as if you know something; please tell me what it is that you know?

"According to congressional sources and mental healthcare professionals knowledgeable about the secret program who spoke with Salon..."

Who are your mysterious sources? The usual suspects would be at the podium and have articles in the Times if they had any info.

"James Mitchell and Bruce Jessen, were at the center of the program, which likely violated the Geneva Conventions on the treatment of prisoners. "

Likely... why is it likely?

"The two are currently under investigation:"

Investigation ... great but we are still in the largely unknown category which means your insinuations/allegations, may turn out to be false. Right?

"...the Democratic chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, who is investigating the abuse of prisoners in U.S. custody."

If anyone is found guilty of committing torture or conspiring to commit torture, they should be sentenced to the most severe consequences affordable by our court system. If anyone falsely accuses innocent and honorable people of this type of conduct, especially if it is for personal/political gains, they should also be prosecuted and sentenced to severe consequences. Unfortunately we don't consider that a crime at present.
