How would the rich be made less rich while the poor where made less poor? Taking from the rich would be unjust, but if the rich just became slightly less successful and the poor became more successful, I can't really see a problem with that.

Of course what would be better then the rich getting poorer while the poor get richer, would be what we have actually had. Every broad segment has gotten richer. I prefer growth to redistributing the pie.
