I'd say its a mistake. If we're going to send out kids off to war we have to commit to fight ugly. WWII was really the last war we won and in part its because we weren't afraid to bomb civilian targets with impunity. The first thing a military has to do is break the backs of a culture - only then can you move towards winning. Right now were fighting on a level that plays into the terrorists hands and thats not a battle we can win. I know I sound like an ugly bastard but if we're going to send out kids off to die the least we can do is let them open fire as they see fit

Sorry but I'm not a typical lib. I'm not capable of spouting pure speculation as fact & framing my world view on intentional lies, biased OPINIONS, groupthink, Talking Points & propaganda.
