I(t probably stems from a "necessary" cookie, necessitating running a spy sweeper etcc etc..

Apparently cookies are not the only way you can track users, but writers are lazy. A program solved that which was written in Perl, that I compiled once on a server I ran. It was called Hypernews and hosted or ran the very first stock information web conferencing system (that is what you are doing here now) Called Stock Club. I think it died from the stulti-cobweb effect sometime in the market downturn 90's although I could be wrong. No hubub. no commercial drive.

Hypernews in many ways is superior to the silicon investment forum method, but I think SI has the best interface of all of the web conferencing systems otherwise. It is simple, fast, direct and uncluttered. and editable. Maximizes info xchnge and relationship management is easy. Stock house and raging bull are way too cheesy, with bad rules, clutter, slow response, hard to find subjects, no route to where it's happening. and the 'vanity boards; that are over monitored, way out of line. cheerleading sections hyping stocks unmercifully. who needs it?

They are all bad. some are less bad than others. that's life.
