True, lots of average folks fall for ahhaha-style personalities. Extreme views and opaqueness, combined with bluster and arrogance, makes them believe that the person is some kind of prophet - that only the elect can truly appreciate. The more loopy and antagonistic the person becomes, the more this confirms the prophet's obvious correctness. After all - he's a genius! And enlightened! Not to mention a user of such precise language! You can't judge such paragons by the normal standards of human behavior. Most humans are suckers for this kind of thing. Among other things, it explains the persistent attractions of cults.
