So when you called his post "enlightened" you were being critical despite appearing to be complimentary.

Oh geeze, what's all this intrigue?

A doctor is "enlightened" if the doctor solves your medical problem. The doctor is able to do this because of "worldly wisdom", knowledge, as I have previously used the term. Such knowledge only provides transient satisfaction which then goes away. The doctor doesn't get anything out of it a year later.

Not so with enlightenment that comes from renunciation. The benefits of this kind of knowledge don't go away. You're always blissed out. Get rid of that damn junk you're accumulating in the garage and you will get some bliss from it that doesn't go away.

speaking as the devil i'd like to say..

don't give away anything to attain bliss. why should you? you can't buy bliss, nirvana, satori etc., by giving anything away. you could give away everything in your garage, your house and on your back and end up standing there in the nude, still demanding your bliss... you would be trying to trade attachment for freedom. so you are attached to freedom. attachment to freedom is still attachment.

no.. you can never buy bliss at any price.. yet the price must always be paid in full and in advance.
