I started reading Murray Rothbard's book on the depression. Found something more interesting to read after a few chapters. I bought a book of Ben Bernandke's essays on the depression. Too technical. Studs Terkel's book Hard Times was enlightening, and an easy read. I had thought from my American history studies that The Great Depression was a time of sacrifice and suffering for all classes of Americans. Studs' interviews revealed otherwise.
