CNN Money published an article about the potential for geothermal energy.

I think the article is a good summary of the sector, but somewhat overlooks the potential overseas that I mentioned in my previous post. The article also doesn't mention anything about recoverable energy or the confluence of drilling with oil and gas.

Gazit increases stake in Ormat.

Gazit buys further Ormat stake
Gazit Inc. continues its strategy of diversification beyond real estate.

Gazit-Globe Ltd. (TASE: GLOB) parent company Gazit Inc. (TASE: GZIT) has bought an additional 1.35 million shares in Ormat Industries Ltd. (TASE: ORMT) at NIS 54.99 per share, for a total of NIS 74 million. Gazit now owns 16.65% of the company.
Gazit has been buying Ormat shares on the market since its first purchase in June. In that deal, Gazit bought 12.7% of Ormat, following by a further purchase in July after Ormat’s share rose 5% in heavy trading.

Boy, I wonder how I missed That!
ORA is definately in the game.
Mind you as a Canadian, I'm not yet ready to convert any $$ to US until we see some stability within the US. I'm not saying we're any better right now with Harper but the perception isn't there yet. Hopefully the whole North American political arena changes soon.
