I don't know that anyone "needs" to know anything. No one "needs" to remedy their ignorance. People seem to get along fine being quite ignorant about any number of things. You're either a curious person or you're not. I enjoy literature from around the world, if you don't you don't. Frankly, it's much more interesting to read it, than to try to convince people like you and Maurice it's worth reading. It doesn't all boil down to one issue in the news, Nadine. Art is bigger than that.
